1. Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. However, within the terms of the contract the client has the freedom to increase, decrease, or stop the service at any time without penalty. A client may also change a caregiver at any time if the need arises.
2. Why would I choose HGHC over a registry?
In choosing HGHC, you become our client, which enables us to act as your case manager. A registry can make a referral only, with no authority to dictate schedules or make reliever placements.
3. How many caregivers will HGHC send?
HGHC believes in continuity. In most cases we are able to settle on 2 different caregivers; a primary and secondary caregiver.
4. Does HGHC pre-screen their caregivers?
Yes. All HGHC caregivers are Bonded and Insured and are carefully screened for criminal records, DMV violations, and reference checks.

7. How soon can homecare begin?
In most cases, HGHC can have a caregiver in your within 24 hours. The best way to ensure immediate care is to arrange a meeting with a HGHC staff member before you or your loved one leaves the hospital or rehabilitation center.
8. Will I be able to talk to a live person when I call?
Yes. You will be given the cell number of your case manager, which will remain on 24 hours per day.
9. Can I get objective advice if I decide homecare isn't for me?
Yes. We know homecare isn't for everyone. We take pleasure in providing good information and referrals.
10. How will I know what services will be provided?
Details of services provided including the frequency, duration and price will be included in your Client Care plan which will be provided to you at the time of the assessment.
